Give Time. Share Joy. Make a Difference.

At South Richmond Adult Day Care Center, volunteers are the heart of what we do. For nearly 50 years, our mission has been fueled by people who give their time, compassion, and creativity to brighten the lives of older adults and individuals with disabilities in our community.

When you volunteer with SRADCC, you bring connection, laughter, and purpose to those who need it most. Whether you’re lending a listening ear, sharing a skill, or simply showing up with a smile, your presence makes a lasting impact.

Individual Volunteers

As an individual volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with our participants and support daily programs. No prior experience is needed—just patience, empathy, and a desire to help others.

Opportunities include:

  • Sharing conversation and companionship
  • Assisting with art, music, and therapy sessions
  • Helping with meals, snacks, and social activities
  • Supporting mobility or daily engagement
  • Decorating, organizing, or assisting with special events
  • Bringing your own talents—from music to crafts—to enrich our days

Groups, Clubs & Corporate Teams

SRADCC also welcomes volunteer groups who want to make a collective impact. Whether it’s a local business, church group, or student organization, your team can help make our center brighter and more vibrant.

Group projects often include:

  • Gardening and beautification around our facility
  • Organizing supplies or activity materials
  • Leading group games, trivia, or seasonal celebrations
  • Decorating for holidays and special events
  • Hosting an activity day (music, art, or themed parties)
